Game One:  Graham Insurance (WW) 8  Slocum Baseball Club (NK) 4 

Led by timely hitting and some opportunistic offense late in the game, Graham Insurance of West Warwick defeated Slocum Baseball of North Kingstown, 8-4, in the their league opener.

Graham Insurance, who once again features the youngest roster in the 16-team Rhode Island Connie Mack League, received hits from Matt Grenier (1/1, three runs scored and three walks), Drew Doran (3/4, one triple, two runs scored, and one r.b.i.), Rich Grenier Jr. (2/3, one run, two r.b.i.'s, and one walk), Matt Constant (2/3), and Tyler Boisclair (1/2, one walk and one r.b.i.). 

In addition, Ryan Carlson (one bases loaded walk), Andrew D'Ambrosca (walk), Ernie Wright (one r.b.i. and one stolen base), and Jake Woodside (one hit batsmen) reached base for the West Warwick-based contigent.

Graham Insurance received solid pitching from Gregg D'Ambrosca and Drew Doran.  D'Ambrosca, who picked up the victory, struck out three batters, walked three batters, and gave up one earned run on three hits in four innings of work.  Doran, who earned the save, struck out four batters and allowed just one earned run on four hits in three innings of work.
